We avoided a couple potentially tantrum-inducing moments during our first family trip to the pumpkin patch but, overall, we had a blast! Remi really seemed to enjoy the hayride
(although she was a little upset mommy and daddy wouldn't let her stand and try to walk about the bed of the tractor while it was moving). Once we made it to the patch, she enjoyed exploring on her own
(with mommy and daddy not far behind). "Thomas the Tractor" driver was a bit strict. He made sure everyone knew NOT to pick the pumpkins up by their stem because the stem can break. Remi, on the other hand, thought the pumpkins were balls. She would run up to one while pointing at it saying "ball, ball!" Brian and I are just glad "Tractor Tom" didn't see her pick up a smaller pumpkin and throw it
("ball, ball!").
On a side note, we came home with a 25 lb pumpkin!
